East Coast Soul Wedding Performance at The Harvard Club

This wedding was a true highlight for ECS. The Harvard Club of Boston affords Boston Wedding Bands with a stunning backdrop for their performance. This particular reception was to be held in early December, so the subtle holiday decor throughout the venue added a spirited and festive atmosphere to the event. The lovely couple that hired us had been researching bands for an extended period of time; we knew they were going to hold their wedding reception band to a high standard, and we intended to deliver. Their upbeat attitude and pure joy throughout the day was pretty infectious!

We started our preparations for the day with an early load in through the old back entrance of this historic building. The photos of the venue truly don't do it justice. Any Boston Wedding Band walking in will inevitably spend a minute surveying the high ceilings and intricate decoration of this incredible building. With a thorough soundcheck, we felt ready to tackle the unruly acoustics of such a large room.

Boston Wedding Bands - East Coast Soul - Harvard Club Wedding

After an extended program of toasts and thank you's, the band was ready to launch into an extended performance featuring more classic funk, soul, and R&B music than we sometimes offer. This couple in particular was mostly interested in the funky dance music that we often feature in the middle of our performances. Unlike some Boston Wedding Bands, East Coast Soul is equally comfortable in a variety of sub-genres within the soul family, so we were happy to feature a bulk of deep funk and groove tunes for this particular celebration. All in all, a truly memorable wedding. Check out these great photos from Whitney J. Fox, and best of luck to the bride and groom!
