From the initial planning stages to the heartfelt dances and non-stop dance party, East Coast Soul was honored to be a part of this beautiful celebration of love.
Introductions and Preparations:
It all began when Danielle & Mario reached out to East Coast Soul back in May of 2021. Originally planning for a wedding in Maine, their adventurous spirits led them to the enchanting landscapes of Guatemala. Our team was thrilled to embark on this musical journey with them, and from the get-go, Danielle & Mario were instrumental in shaping the musical tapestry of their big day. With meticulous planning and shared enthusiasm, we worked hand in hand to curate the perfect soundtrack for their wedding day.
The Journey to Antigua:
As the big day approached, East Coast Soul packed their bags and set off for Antigua, Guatemala. The journey itself was a breathtaking adventure, with a scenic route through Miami and several days of soaking in the rich culture and history of Antigua. From the cobblestone streets to the vibrant colors of the city, every moment was a testament to the beauty of love and travel.
Cocktail Hour Melodies:
With the ceremony arrangements already taken care of, East Coast Soul had the pleasure of serenading guests during cocktail hour at the Pensativo Rooftop. Against the backdrop of a mesmerizing sunset, our Guitar/Sax Duo set the mood with soulful renditions of classics by Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. It was a blissful interlude, allowing the newlyweds to savor the magic of the moment amidst the company of their loved ones.
The Reception:
As the sun dipped below the horizon, it was time to kick off the reception festivities. East Coast Soul seamlessly transitioned into MC duties, guiding guests through the formalities with charm and flair. The grand entrance of Danielle & Mario, accompanied by the infectious beats of Dua Lipa and Chance the Rapper, set the stage for an evening of joy and celebration.
Heartfelt Moments on the Dance Floor:
One of the most poignant moments of the evening was the couple’s first dance. With the soulful strains of Van Morrison’s “Into The Mystic” filling the air, Danielle & Mario shared a tender embrace, lost in the magic of the moment. It was a testament to their love and the journey they had embarked upon together. And as the evening unfolded, the dance floor came alive with the sounds of laughter and love.
Parent Dances:
The parent dances were a touching tribute to family bonds and cherished memories. Danielle shared a heartfelt dance with her father to the tune of Paul Simon’s “Father and Daughter,” while Mario and his mother swayed to the rhythm of Prince Royce’s “Stand By Me.” It was a beautiful reminder of the love and support that surrounded Danielle & Mario as they embarked on this new chapter of their lives.
