Bedford Golf & Tennis Club Wedding in Bedford, NY
Lily and Nick’s wedding at the Bedford Golf & Tennis Club was one of those summer celebrations that felt effortless, joyful, and full of energy. With a beautiful church ceremony off-site followed by cocktails and a long, lively reception under the pavilion, the entire night moved with a rhythm that fit the couple perfectly.
This celebration also featured one of the larger East Coast Soul lineups of the mid-2010s—four vocalists, full horns, and a powerhouse rhythm section—which helped keep the dance floor moving straight through to the 11:30 PM send-off.
Cocktail Hour on the Patio
Cocktail hour kicked off at 7:00 PM in the same space where the reception would take place. The couple opted for a relaxed guitar/sax jazz duo, which was perfect for the early evening breeze and the casual flow of guests enjoying the outdoor spaces of the Bedford Golf & Tennis Club.
Nothing too loud, nothing too busy—just classy, laid-back jazz to set the tone before the party officially ramped up.
Introductions & A Magical First Dance
At 8:10 PM, guests gathered around as we welcomed the couple for the first time: “Please welcome for the first time as husband and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Joseph!”
Moments later, Lily and Nick stepped into their first dance—a full-band performance of “A Whole New World” from Aladdin. The arrangement was warm, expressive, and romantic, and the couple chose to dance to the entire song, taking in every moment.
Parent Dance & Toasts
After the first dance, Nick shared a short and touching moment with his mother to a live performance of “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King. The couple requested a shortened version around two minutes, and Lily’s grandfather joined in partway through—a wonderful surprise.
At 8:45 PM, the band took a quick break while guests enjoyed cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres. Three heartfelt toasts followed:
- Mother of the Bride — Terry Gumz
- Matron of Honor — Rebecca Allen
- Best Man — Charlie Glazer
Because the reception was cocktail-style with food stations rather than a formal dinner, the flow of the evening stayed loose and social—perfect for an extended dance set.
A Long, High-Energy Dance Party
With no sit-down dinner and minimal pauses in the evening, Lily and Nick’s dance floor opened early and stayed full all night long. The couple gave us a long list of must-plays spanning Motown, funk, pop, soul, and classic sing-along moments. Highlights included:
- Jackson 5
- “Baby I Need Your Lovin’” — Four Tops
- “Don’t Stop Believin’” — Journey
- Sam Cooke — “Twistin’ the Night Away”
- “For Once in My Life” — Stevie Wonder
- “Shake It Off” — Taylor Swift
- “Shout”
- “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” — The Police
- The Temptations, The Supremes, Van Morrison, and more
With a vocal team of Sophia, Dan, Giang, and Eron out front—and a horn section featuring Marcus and Clayton—the room was packed from the first downbeat at 8:15 all the way through the final send-off.
Cake, Toasts & a Grand Exit
At 10:00 PM, the band announced the couple’s cake moment and a brief toast from Lily and Nick. It was quick and simple, exactly how they wanted it—then it was right back to dancing.
The night wrapped at 11:30 with the band’s closing announcement guiding guests outside for the couple’s send-off: “At this time, everyone should gather outside to send off Lily and Nick. Have a great night!”
A Bedford Celebration to Remember
Between the relaxed cocktail-style reception, an incredible crowd, and one of our most dynamic lineups of the era, Lily and Nick’s wedding at the Bedford Golf & Tennis Club was a standout. We were honored to be part of such a joyful, music-driven night—congratulations to the newlyweds!
