A breathtaking September wedding at the West Dennis Yacht Club in West Dennis, MA where East Coast Soul's Stax ensemble had a kickass night of music!
Testimonial
"You do not need to search any further - you should hire East Coast Soul for your wedding! They are INCREDIBLE. We used the Stax ensemble and so many guests made a point of letting us know after the wedding how impressed they were by the sound and physical energy the band brought to the stage. The band played for several hours straight without breaks and kept the dance floor energy up - and we had a blast the entire time. Everyone from our little cousins to our grandparents were on the dance floor absolutely loving the music. And Sean was an excellent emcee the whole night which made the intros, cocktail music, and speeches run perfectly. Not to mention the band was very easy to work with and accommodated all of our requests - including having family members play with them and asking them to learn new songs for our dances. Guests haven't stopped asking for more information on this band for family / friends weddings because they are truly the best band you can hire for your wedding. Don't wait to reach out or they'll be booked for your big day!"

East Coast Soul was fortunate to be invited to join Lindsey & Rich for their stunning West Dennis Yacht Club Wedding in West Dennis, MA.
Preprations for Lindsey & Rich's Big Day
Our preparations for the big day began months in advance, with Lindsey & Rich offering a myriad of musical and logistical options with us for the big day (preparation is a key part of our process). Lindsey & Rich were incredibly helpful during this advanced planning and a huge asset throughout.
Once the big day arrived, East Coast Soul traveled to West Dennis, MA and took care of the normal load-in, set up, and sound check process for West Dennis Yacht Club weddings. We get a lot of questions about the logistics of loading in to any given venue. This is a part of the day that we take seriously, spending extra time to avoid rushing, and ensuring our gear is properly tuned for the room.
Ceremony
In this case, East Coast Soul was not involved with couple's ceremony, with those arrangements having already been taken care of.

Cocktail Hour
As is common, East Coast Soul was asked to provide cocktail hour music. Cocktail hour is a great opportunity for the bride and groom to unwind after the intense emotions of the ceremony. We do our part by performing a variety of relaxed music for guests to enjoy. In this case, We provided a Playback and and featured music by artists such as Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, and more.

Reception
In a lion's share of wedding celebrations, the band is asked to provide MC services for the formal portions of the receptions. This West Dennis Yacht Club Wedding was no different.
The groom and bride’s First Dance
The newly married couple's first dance is invariably one of the most meaningful parts of the big day. It's an opportunity for the bride and groom to take a moment for themselves. With this portion of the evening complete, the guests and vendors took a break for dinner. After a quick break, East Coast Soul's Stax ensemble returned to the stage.
Dance Party
our shows commonly kick off with vintage material. We've found this is a great way to get folks up on the dance floor with songs they're familiar with. Artists like Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Earth Wind & Fire, and more dominated the outset of our performance. We then transitioned into performing music by artists like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Prince and more. Finally, we ended the night performing contemporary material that everyone could sing along with.
Guests danced non-stop from beginning to end, and we limited our breaks to ensure people had as much time to dance as possible.
Thanks so much to Lindsey & Rich for having us at their beautiful September wedding at West Dennis Yacht Club! And thank you to Elizabeth LaDuca for sharing these beautiful photos with us!
